Language Selector

Language Selector allows you to change the default language of your WebCT screens. Your instructor only specifies a default language if more than one language is available in your course. Your new language selection is limited to the languages available in your course.

Only screen elements such as menus and buttons appear in the selected language. Course files, and text added by users (e.g. content pages, Mail and Discussions messages, and icon labels), remain in the language in which they were created.

Note: You can only use Language Selector if your instructor has added it to the course.

1. From the Course Menu, Homepage or Organizer Page, click Language Selector. The Language Selection screen appears.
2. Select a language by doing one of the following:
   • To change to a different language, from the Select the language in which to view your course drop-down list, select a language.
   • To revert to the default language, click Use default.
3. Click Update. The screen refreshes and the course is presented in the new language.
