Self-registration

If the course is configured to allow self-registration, a self-registration link appears on the Course Listing screen as a pencil icon, and on the Welcome Page as a Create Account button.

Self-registering from the Course List screen:

  1. From the Entry Page, click See courses. The Course List screen appears displaying the courses for the Main category.
  2. If you want to view courses from another category, from the View by Category drop-down list, select the category and click Update. The courses for the selected category appear.
  3. In the Self-Registration column, click the self-register icon for the course you want to self-register for. The Self-registration screen appears.
  4. If you already have a myWebCT:
    1. Click Log in to. The Login to WebCT screen appears.
    2. In the WebCT ID text box, enter your WebCT ID.
    3. In the Password text box, enter your password.
    4. Click Log in. The Course Added screen appears and the course is added to your myWebCT.
    5. To access the course, click Go to course. The course Homepage appears.
  5. If you do not have a myWebCT:

    Note: Depending on administrator settings, this option may not be available to you.

    1. Click Create myWebCT. The Create myWebCT screen appears.
    2. Complete the fields. Note: Duplicate or illegal WebCT IDs are rejected.
    3. Click Continue. The Course Added screen appears.
    4. To access the course, click Go to course. The course Homepage appears.

Self-registering from the Welcome Page:

  1. From the Entry Page, click See courses. The Course List screen appears displaying the courses for the Main category.
  2. If you want to view courses from another category, from the View by Category drop-down list, select the category and click Update. The courses for the selected category appear.
  3. In the Course Information column, click the information icon for the course in which you want to self-register from the Welcome Page. The Welcome Page appears.
  4. Click Create Account. The Self-Registration screen appears.
  5. If you already have a myWebCT:
    1. Click Log in to. The Login to WebCT screen appears.
    2. In the WebCT ID text box, enter your WebCT ID.
    3. In the Password text box, enter your password.
    4. Click Log in. The Course Added screen appears and the course is added to your myWebCT.
    5. To access the course, click Go to course. The course Homepage appears.
  6. If you do not have a myWebCT:
